Jojo

Jojo is an adoptable male American Bulldog looking for a home at Prince Georges County Animal Services in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He is fully grown and large in size. He is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to lack of space, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Jojo may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.

Meet Jojo (A568330)! 💚 A 7 year old, male, 63lb American Bulldog. A big boy with an even bigger heart! 🐾 At his age he still has plenty of energy left, and has a great balance of chill and play! Jojo was surrendered by his former owner, and you can tell he's still trying to understand why he was left behind. He has a quiet, stoic look about him and an overall chill demeanor, but beneath that calm exterior is a dog who is so eager to connect, please his humans, and start over. Here is what you need to know about handsome Jojo: 👩🏼‍🏫 The Ultimate \"Sit\" Master: Jojo offers a polite, submissive sit constantly'you don't even have to ask! If he gets excited, he sits. If he thinks you might have a treat, he sits immediately. He works so hard to be a good boy! 🍪 Food & Snack Enthusiast: Jojo will do just about anything for a good snack! He can be a little eager when taking treats, so using a flat hand or swapping treats for training games will be a great way to bond. 🐕‍🦺 Man on a Mission: Jojo loves to roam, explore, and sniff the world around him. He can pull a bit on the leash, so he'd love a strong partner who can give him gentle guidance and polish up his leash skills. He does constantly check in with his handler! 🩺 Medical Care Note: Jojo has a small bump/growth under his eye that will need an evaluation by a veterinarian. 🐶 Jojo hasn't been tested with other dogs just yet, but we hope to update his profile soon! *As always, you should allow proper decompression before introducing to resident animals Jojo may be going through a quiet heartbreak right now, but he's holding onto big dreams of finding a loyal forever family. He just needs someone to see past his stoic face, offer him love and treats, and give him the second chance he so deeply deserves. Come meet Jojo today and give him his ticket home!
