Patch is an adoptable male Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at Riverside County Animal Services-Riverside in Jurupa Valley, California. He is fully grown and large in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with only 6 days left, listed due to behavior. Adopting Patch, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Can you help? transferdas@rivco.org Breed: Pit Bull Terrier mix Age: The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old. 06/04/26 allowed handler to leash and walk to play-yard. did not react to other dogs while entering and exiting kennel. does walk well on leash but does pull a little. while in play-yard did not explore stayed next to handler, solicited attention, and would watch people outside of play-yard while leaning on handler. did not protest being leashed and walked back to kennel. currently has one female kennelmate. 06/10/26 Dog participated in playgroup today. Dog was observed presenting tense greetings, but loosened up as time went on in play group. 06/18/26 Dog participated in playgroup. 07/01/26 Dog participated in playgroup. Involved in small altercation resulting in visit to vet staff. 07/14/26 Dog was out for playgroup. 07/31/26 Dog participated in single session enrichment with kennel mate today. 08/14/26 Dog participated in small playgroup. 08/24/26 Dog participated in single session enrichment with kennel mate. 09/15/26 Dog participated in small playgroup. 10/06/26 Dog participated in small playgroup. 10/19/26 13:41 Dog participated in single session enrichment with kennel mate. 10/20/26 12:17 10/20/26 12:11 Dog appears to be declining in shelter environment. Dog and current kennel mate lay in kennel and will not get up or approach handler despite soft coaxing.
