Tina

Tina is an adoptable female Belgian Shepherd Malinois looking for a home at Dallas Animal Services in Dallas, Texas. She is fully grown and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to medical. Adopting Tina, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Tina is a dog experiencing a medical condition affecting her left tarsal (ankle) joint, with concerns for osteomyelitis, or a possible bone infection, related to an old injury. Arthritis is also a possible cause of the changes observed. Her condition requires further veterinary evaluation, diagnostic testing, and appropriate treatment to determine the underlying cause and develop a plan to manage her symptoms. Without appropriate medical intervention and ongoing care, Tina is at risk for continued pain, reduced mobility, and potential complications. The specialized veterinary treatment and continued monitoring she may need exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Tina deserves the opportunity to receive the care and support she needs to improve her comfort and quality of life. She needs a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive further veterinary evaluation, appropriate treatment, pain management, and follow-up care to address the condition affecting her left hind ankle and support her mobility. Tina is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing Tina, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov.
