Toby

Toby is an adoptable male Chihuahua looking for a home at The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is senior and small in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with only 2 days left, listed due to behavior. Adopting Toby, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Toby is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. When first doing the initial evaluation, Toby was growling, lunging, hard staring, and had a stiff body. On the second day of staff going to the kennel, he was lying quietly in the middle. Was air scenting in staff's direction. Allowed being leashed up and taken out. He tolerated some handling, but was tense the entire time. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes. This animal needs placement by 10/27 at 3 PM.
