Nala

Nala is an adoptable female Cane Corso Mastiff looking for a home at The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is a young adult and large in size. She is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to behavior, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Nala may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.

Nala is not adapting well in a kennel at the shelter and is exhibiting barrier frustration towards team members and other stimuli. Nala is declining due to the stressful shelter environment. She needs out to be able to decompress. She is showing barrier reactivity with follow through as in lunging at the glass and attempting to bite at the glass when offering hand. She does settle with treats and once out she is wiggly, calm, and sweet. She is frustrated by the barrier and needs out to be able to relax. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and kenneling.
