Emilio Pooch

Emilio Pooch is an adoptable male Terrier looking for a home at NYC ACC-Queens in Ridgewood, New York. He is senior and small in size. He is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to medical, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Emilio Pooch may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.

This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information. Emilio Pooch is at risk due to medical reasons. Emilio Pooch is a friendly, easily handlead geriatric male with a heart murmur and elevated proBNP, severe dental disease, and a suspected healed elbow fracture. He has developed CIRDC in the shelter, but is still eating wet food very well. He will need ongoing supportive care to maintain his appetite and a quiet environment to recover. Despite his age and chronic medical concerns, Emilio Pooch appears likely to have a good quality of life outside of the shelter where he can enjoy his golden years. What my friends at ACC say about me: I can go home today! My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. Name: Emilio Pooch Animal ID: 267953 Gender: male Color: brown Location: Queens Animal Care Center Weight: 13 lbs Age: 12 years 1 weeks
