More Info: I have been at the shelter since Oct 20, 2026. I am in kennel DB21. Meet Eddie ID #A2102846 Breed: Staffordshire Mix Color: Black / White Sex: Male Age: 3 years Weight: 52.4 lbs Intake Date: 10/20/2026 Eddie was picked up as a stray after reports of multiple dogs on a property near a small park. He came in with Helen (ID #A2102847) who is still at Barc, as well as ID #A2102841, #A2102848 and #A2102849, who are no longer at Barc. We do not know their status. ⸻ Medical Notes: Eddie has old scars around his neck and minor healing wounds, including an open wound on his right rear leg. He was prescribed Rimadyl (carprofen) 100 mg once daily for 7 days for pain and inflammation. Heartworm test: LOW POSITIVE. Eddie will need follow-up veterinary care and heartworm treatment. ⸻ Behavior Notes: Eddie has presented as quiet, timid, and tense in his kennel. Staff have tried baby talk, gentle petting, and treats, but he has remained reluctant to move and has needed assistance being transferred. His behavior may reflect fear and stress in the shelter environment. He needs patience, gentle handling, and time to feel safe enough to come out of his shell.
