We do not know what happened to Penny
The date this shelter listed for Penny has passed. Shelters often push these dates back, and many pets are adopted or pulled by a rescue first, so Penny may still be there. The shelter can tell you.
Penny is an adoptable female American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. She is senior and medium in size. She is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to lack of space, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Penny may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.
Evaluation Notes: 10/15/2026 - Dog displayed sociability by coming over with wide eyes and tucked ears where she was not interested in offered treats and allowed affection. She began wagging her tail as soon as we started talking to her. She seems nervous at times with her wide eyes and looking around possibly due to environment.
