Poppy

Poppy is an adoptable female Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at Dallas Animal Services in Dallas, Texas. She is fully grown and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Poppy, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Poppy is a curious girl who enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing with toys, and earning tasty treats! She may be a little hesitant when first meeting you, but with a little patience, she can warm up to pets and show off her skills, including offering her paw when asked. Poppy would love a home where she can continue exploring, playing, and building trust at her own pace. Come meet Poppy and see if she's the companion you've been looking for! Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.
