Nova was easy to leash/remove from the kennel. Once out she jumped on the handler affectionately and was taken to the catch pen. Nova was collared/leashed with ease soliciting petting during the process. Nova greeted the dogs at the barrier nicely and was allowed into the play yard. Nova displayed a relaxed body, closed mouth, natural ear set, soft tail wag, and soft eyes. Nova exchanged greetings nicely but when given play bows she appeared overwhelmed and moved away. She approached the handler's seeking engagement from them, jumping on them affectionately. Nova continued to spend time amongst the handler's seeking engagement. When the dogs attempted to play with Nova she moved away from them. When the playful dogs moved away Nova came back and continued to spend time with the handlers. Nova was tolerant of the other calm dogs that gathered around the handlers and socialized nicely. Nova maintained a calm and social demeanor displaying no play style at this time and was able to co-exist. Nova could benefit from further socialization and confidence building. Nova is ok for public adoption medium energy level calm dogs recommended.
