A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from howthey behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on suroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences." He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by two dogs at the same time. He tolerated them both sniffing him, but he was tense, with concemed eyes and a tucked tail After the dogs broke away, he began to roam the yard and explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. He continued to roam the yard to himself. He tolerated dogs approaching to sniff him, but he was timid as they did so. He remained calm and tolerant for the rest of his time in the yard, but he was more comfortable around the calmer dogs. There were dogs playing during his time in the yard, but he did not engage in or entice any play. He would approach the handlers very often, seeking affection. Chunky is tolerant of the other dogs and displayed no play style at this time. He would likely do best with a calmer dog. Due to a prior incident, he will be designated as no livestock required and will require a known history of aggression disclosure fom.
