The runner easily clasped the collar around his neck. He entered the play yard with a soft body and a neutral tail. He was approached by a male shepherd mix and exchanged a tense greeting with him. He had his hackles up and a high, stiff tail. A female collie mix approached him. He was tense but tolerant with her. He began to relax as he roamed and explored the yard. The male shepherd approached him and exchanged a softer greeting. When the shepherd lingered in his face, he would turn his head away. The female collie mix tried to entice play by offering him multiple play bows. He seemed interested but did not break into play. He would slowly approach handlers in the yard to solicit affection. He was tolerant of dogs coming up to sniff him. He was walked out of the yard for a handling assessment. Zae is tolerant of other dogs and has no play style at this time. He was given a moment to acclimate to his surroundings. The handler called to him, and he approached with slowly with a soft body and a neutral tail. He allowed the handler to check is ears with no reaction. When the handler checked his teeth, he turned his head away. He allowed the handler to touch his tail and lift his front paw with no reaction. When the handler touched his back paw, he pulled it slightly away.
