GALLETA Animal Location: Baldwin - B144 ANIMAL ID: A5735640 DATE ADMITTED TO COUNTY CARE: 2026-08-11 ANIMAL TYPE: DOG AVAILABILITY STATUS: Ready to go home PRIMARY BREED: GERM SH POINT PRIMARY COLOR: TRICOLOR SEX: Male (Neutered) SIZE: WEIGHT: 63 AGE: 4 years 9 months No other dogs required August 19, 2026 E26-095548 PLAYGROUP BALDWIN A5735640 'The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' Galleta A5735640 greeted the runner with a relaxed demeanor, he was easy to remove, and he moderately pulled on leash. In the catch pen when he was introduced to the dogs his body was tense, he growled, his eyes were focused, his pupils were dilated and his tail was stiff. The yard was thinned out, he was allowed to enter, he tensed up and challenged the first dog he noticed, the dog ignored him and he snapped at him (runner holding leash), the runner moved him away. He assertively sniffed the second dog (female dog), then went back to the male dog, he again tensed up, challenged and snapped at him. He was removed from the yard to no further overwhelm the dogs. Overall, Galleta was defensive of the dogs and does not have a playstyle at this time. Behaviorally ok for public adoption, no large dogs required with a KHOA for animal aggression.
