Luke is an adoptable male American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at Dallas Animal Services in Dallas, Texas. He is a young adult and large in size. Luke is a 1.5-year-old male dog in need of a rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide the specialized care and support he needs. He has a congenital eyelid abnormality in which his eyelid is smaller than normal, resulting in entropion. This condition causes the eyelid to roll inward and may require surgical correction to prevent ongoing irritation and discomfort to the eye. At this time, Luke has been difficult to safely handle for treatment due to his behavior, making continued veterinary care challenging in his current environment. He would benefit from an experienced rescue, foster, or adopter who can provide a calm, structured setting and work with a veterinarian to determine the safest and most appropriate treatment plan.
