Snowman

Snowman is an adoptable male Husky looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is fully grown and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with just one day left, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Snowman, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

08/21/2026 Dog is laying down upon approach with a tense body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a tucked tail. He displays sociability with me as I enter kennel by scooting closer to greet with same body language. He is easy to leash and walk out of building where he walks slowly on leash and is seemingly house trained. After urinating, he freezes on leash with a tense body, wide eyes, pinned ears, tucked tail where he is hyper vigilant of surroundings and licks lips repeatedly. He is easy to pick up and carry to yard. He displays sociability with all handlers by coming over for treats and affection with a tense body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a low wagging tail. He displays sociability with dogs at barrier by greeting appropriately with a loose body and a low wagging tail. He is easy to walk back to kennel. 08/25/2026 Dog displays sociability with all handlers by coming over to greet with a loose body and a wagging tail and is easy to leash and walk outside. He displays sociability with male and female dogs observed with by greeting appropriately and coexisting with a loose body and a wagging tail. He is interested din engaging in courtship where he is respectful of other dogs communications for space. He is easy to return to kennel.
