Sophie is an adoptable female Shepherd looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. She is a young adult and medium in size. 08/21/2026 Dog is sitting at barrier upon approach with a tense body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a tucked tail. She displays sociability with me as I enter kennel by coming over to greet with a loose body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a low wagging tail where she is interested in affection. She is easy to leash and walk outside where she walks well on leash and is seemingly house trained. She displays sociability with all handlers by coming over for treats and affection with a loose body and a low wagging tail. She is nervous of handlers' fast movements where she flinches with a tense body where she is offered affection. She displays sociability with dogs at barrier by greeting appropriately with a loose body, pinned ears and a low wagging tail. She is easy to return to kennel. 08/25/2026 Dog displays sociability with all handlers by coming over to greet with a loose body and a wagging tail and is easy to leash and walk outside. She displays sociability with male and female dogs observed with by greeting appropriately, coexisting and engaging in brief play with a loose body and a wagging tail.
