Orville is an adoptable male German Shepherd looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. He is fully grown and medium in size. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 16, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHD01. Weight: 48 lbs Intake date: 8/16/2026 ⸻ 📉MEDICAL NOTES: Orville has developed clear nasal discharge and sneezing consistent with CIRD/URI. He was moved to treatment and started on Doxycycline 250 mg once daily for 10 days. Orville is heartworm negative and has received DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies, deworming/Pyrantel and Advantage Multi. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Orville made a wonderful impression at intake. Staff described him simply as 'friendly, relaxed with wagging tail.' He also allowed his medical workup with only light restraint. There aren't pages of behavior notes for Orville'just a simple glimpse of a calm, friendly dog who deserves the opportunity to show so much more of himself outside the shelter.
