Puddin is an adoptable female Siberian Husky looking for a home at Los Angeles County - Lancaster in Lancaster, California. She is fully grown and medium in size. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She bypassed the other dogs and began to explore the yard. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She continued to roam the yard kept to herself. She gave a lip curl waming for space to a female Pitbull that lingered in her face. She respected the waming and walked away. She continued to roam the yard to herself. She was more tolerant of very calm dogs being around her. She remained wary of higher energy dogs or dogs lingering in her face. She would give growl or lip curl wamings for space to these dogs. She approached the handlers often in the yard and sought affection. She just needs a slower approach and can be head shy at first. She would do best with a very calm dog that will respect her space and boundaries. See handling assessment for further stipulations. The handler knelt and called to her, and she approached with soft body language. She allowed the handler to pet her head, but she was head shy at first. She then began to lean against the handler and allow them to pet her further. She allowed the handler to check her teeth with no reaction. She allowed the handler to check her ears with no reaction. When the handler touched and lifted her front paws, she closed her mouth and began licking her lips. She allowed the handler to touch her tail with no reaction. When then handlertouched her rear paws, she pulled them away and sat down. She displayed no negative behavior toward the handler, but she is wary of faster movements andneeds a go-slow approach. She was retumed to her kennel without issue. Due to her need for a slow approach, trust building and some handling sensitivities, she would do best in an adult only home.
