Meet Diamond A571260 Ready to meet a very special girl who need a little extra love? Diamond is a beautiful 2-year-old, 56-pound American Staffordshire Terrier who has been waiting at the shelter since June 13. This sweet girl is incredibly timid and scared, and in the shelter, her world can feel like a pretty overwhelming place. Diamond initially shies away from your hand, but she is showing us that there's a loving dog underneath that fear. She was easy to leash, went potty outside right away, and walks beautifully on leash without pulling. And treats? Those are definitely the way to her heart! With patience, treats, and a little time, Diamond began to relax and trust, allowing her personality to peek through. She also does well with other dogs and has shown no resource guarding. As always, slow introduction with resident dogs is recommended after appropriate decompression. Diamond isn't going to be the dog who runs up to you and immediately asks for affection. She needs someone willing to let her move at her own pace and show her that people can be kind and the world can be safe. But watching this scared girl blossom into a confident, happy dog would be incredibly rewarding . She deserves the chance to finally feel safe.
