Zaza

Zaza is an adoptable female Great Dane looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. She is a young adult and large in size. Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Zaza. I am a female, brown and tan Great Dane mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 8 months old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 26, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHA16. Female | 8 months old | DOB 1/19/2026 Intake date: 8/26/2026 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Heartworm: NEGATIVE Exam: Normal Received DA2PP-V, Bordetella & Rabies vaccines Dewormed/Pyrantel Advantage Multi administered Zaza came in medically NORMAL with no significant medical concerns noted. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Zaza has repeatedly shown staff her loose, wiggly body and happy, wagging tail. She has even greeted handlers with tappy front paws and an open, smiling mouth. This girl is VERY much a puppy! Zaza has lots of energy and can become overexcited on leash, leading to jumping, spinning and pulling. Staff note that she needs leash training, redirection and help learning how to keep four paws on the ground. On 9/1 she was easy to leash, happily wiggled along to her new kennel and remained quiet once settled.
