A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' Bullwinkle A5798971 greeted the runner with a relaxed demeanor, he was easy to remove, and he slightly pulled on leash. In the catch pen when he was introduced to the dogs his body was tense, his eyes were alert, his tail was high with no wag and his ears were alert. He was easy to collar and leash. He entered the yard and was tense during his greetings. He roamed the yard quietly. He solicited affection from the handler, his body was relaxed, his eyes were soft, his tail wagged neutrally and his mouth was slightly open with a soft pant. When one of the dogs jumped on her, he turned around to stare at her, his body tensed up and the handlers quickly corrected her and moved her away from him. He was uncomfortable with the dogs and preferred the company of the handlers. Overall, Bullwinkle was selective of the dogs and does not have a playstyle at this time. Behaviorally ok for public adoption, no large dogs required with a KHOA for animal aggression.
