Any Additional details/notes on behavior? 9/1/2026 ON 09/01/26 14:42 DOGS BROUGHT IN TOGETHER A5170938 A5170939 Evaluation Comments (Observations from our staff and volunteers) 9/5/2026 Dog was lying at kennel door, head resting on floor, ate treats placed in kennel, able to place leash, would not exit kennel with verbal coaxing or treat trail, positioned taxi in front of kennel, handler stepped in, used sort board to gently guide dog towards taxi, able to then guide into taxi with light leash pressure. Rode well to yard, dog exited taxi then pancaked, handler sat at a distance, dog ate treats tossed nearby, stood and explored briefly then lied down in corner away from handler, panting, scanning surroundings, wouldn't approach with verbal coaxing. After a moment handler approached, dog remained calm, offered treats but dog was no longer interested, allowed petting all over. Handler positioned taxi, dog entered without assistance, no issues riding back to kennel, began chewing leash as handler tipped taxi, dog entered kennel, allowed handler to reach in and slowly remove leash by hand. 09/08/26 15:37 Updating color due to NHO status. 9/4/2026 Dog was standing in middle of kennel; closed divider; crouched; verbally coaxed; tossed treats; dog ate tossed treats; opened kennel door; easily able to place large loop over head; behavior taxi was placed right in front of kennel; made treat trail; not interested; handler used sort board; stepped into kennel; walked behind with sort board; dog circled in kennel; eventually started to exit kennel; used firm leash pressure; dog walked into taxi; sat in taxi; rode well. Handler placed sort board on top of taxi as precaution due to prior notes of dog jumping out of behavior taxi. In yard, dog exited taxi slowly; explored in one area of yard; handler sat in chair; dog eventually sat by yard fence; panting; handler tossed treats; not interested; gave dog a few moments; handler verbally coaxed; dog slowly approached; soft face; allowed for slow petting on head; stopped petting; dog sat down next to handler; leaned in closer; continued to allow for slow petting; handler shifted body away; dog got closer; sat right in between handler's leg; offered treat; took treat; did not eat. Handler slowly stood up; dog slowly followed behind; did not enter catch pen; walked away; handler slowly approached; dog walked away; picked leash up; allowed for slow petting; lightly muzzle wrapped; picked up; placed in taxi; rode well; placed sort board on top as precaution; sat in taxi; light panting. Exited taxi; entered kennel; sat on top of bed; handler crouched; verbally coaxed; would not approach; allowed handler to reach in; allowed slow petting; slowly removed leash by hand. 9/1/2026 Nervous, side eyeing, wide eyed, lip licking, thrashing on leash then settled, allowed all handling and vaccines with muzzle wrap restraint, bucket to kennel kennel, jumped out of bucket, clip lead used to remove leash. 9/1/2026 Responded to radio call for loose dog in F building; dog was partially contained near door; door to building was opened and dog dashed out; ran towards small play yards and entered yard; secured in yard; allowed leashing but remained in corner; dilated pupils; heavy panting; thrashed on leash; leash pressure required to guide dog into bucket; chewing leash on way back to kennel; attempted to jump out of bucket; tipped bucket in front of kennel and dog entered willingly; remained in place as handler closed door.
