Needs placement by 11am 09/16/26 Meet Chubby, a sweet and social boy who may be a bit shy at first but warms up nicely once he gets to know you! From our volunteer observations, Chubby seems to be laid back with other dogs and tends to be people-oriented. He knows sit, walks well on leash with encouragement, and is treat-motivated, which should make training a breeze. Contact us about Chubby today! Medical Observation 7/3: Adoption Exam Completed Altered: No Rabies given in RR leg; ASO administered DA2PP SQ in RF leg previously; ASO administered Bordetella intranasally previously; ASO applied Flea prevention previously; Heartworm Prevention given. Pyrantel given PO Blood sample pulled to perform heartworm test; Positive Microchip Implanted Ticks noted on left ear Pet has been prescribed Doxycycline for 14 days as part of our new heartworm therapy. Pet is to go home with remaining Doxycycline prescribed. RX: Doxycycline 100mg Tabs ' 10mg/kg(Round down) BID x 14 days. Shelter Observation 7/3: a little shy backed up when entering the kennel lowered his head when trying to pet ears to side gave a slight tail wag is very sweet after warming up they allowed me to pet them. Volunteer Observation 7/3: Easy Going, Jumpy, Good on Leash, Social (People), Solicits Pets, Wants to Sniff. Chubby is adorable. Initially a bit shy in his kennel, but it was easy to leash and walks with encouragement. When we got outside, he was a bit jumpy and took a little bit of time to calm down. Knows sit and is very treated motivated. A great size and super cute.! with some basic training, he'll be a great family member. 7/20: High Energy, Jumpy, Pottied Immediately, Social (People), Loose/Wiggly Body. Chubby has a lot of energy. Outside he was jumping on me and wouldn't stop. He did go potty. To distract him I threw him treats which he ran to get. 7/31: Medium Energy, Jumpy, Reactive (Dogs), Wants to Play. Chubby began wagging his tail when he saw me in front of his kennel. He was easy to leash up and bring outside to the play yard. Outside in the play yard he wagged his tail often. He enjoyed getting pets. He liked chasing the balls and running around. He was a bit reactive towards the dogs in the kennels as we went back to his spot. He had a happy friendly playful demeanor 8/16 Daycation: How did your dog do in the car? Loved it! Which of the following activities did the dog enjoy? Going on a walk, Playing with toys, Lounging around an apartment / house How did they interact with strangers? I love meeting new friends! If they saw any cats, how did they react? NA If they saw any other dogs, how did they react? NA If they met any children, how did they react? NA How did I walk on the leash? (Examples: excited/pulling/timid/awesome walker)Did okay! Was very hot so was pulling a bit to get into the shade. How were my manners and do I know any tricks? Good manners, Went to the bathroom immediately (when outside) Did they show any of the additional behaviors listed below? Love bug, Wants to cuddle, Solicits belly rubs The best part of my Daycation was when.......Pup cup! Any additional notes you would like to include about the dog? SO sweet! Was so easy to be around and could work in an apartment or bigger house. He didn't bark and was very excited to be around people. Was such a little love bug. Playgroup Observation 7/4: This dog is social, sexually motivated, corrects, constantly mounts, and is people oriented. PG1-Social/DG-Dainty & Gentle 8/1: Unable to pair with A1292350 pup pup 8/16: Social though sexually motivated, focused more on mounting. PG1-Social/DG-Dainty & Gentle Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue.
