Lenny is an adoptable male Siberian Husky looking for a home at Los Angeles County - Carson in Gardena, California. He is a young adult and medium in size. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out'or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' Lenny was in the play yard prior to the assessment and was given time to decompress. Lenny displayed a neutral body, closed mouth, natural ear set, neutral tail position, and soft eyes. With some coaxing Lenny approached and allowed petting. The handler was able to examine Lenny's ears, mouth, abdomen, back, lower extremities, and tail. Lenny appeared tense and uncomfortable with his lower extremities being examined. He pulled his limbs away and growled when attempting to lift/examine his paws. Lenny was leashed/returned to his kennel without incident. Lenny is recommended to be made available for public adoption Adults Only Required (+khoa handling sensitivity lower extremities) medium energy level no other dogs recommended.
