ID #A1956319 2-year-old German Shepherd mix Neutered Male | Brown / Black DOB: 5/25/2024 Weight: 32.8 lbs 📍 First intake: 7/27/24 ' Stray, found in the field, NORMAL 📍 Outcome: Adopted 8/1/24 📍 Returned: 9/2/26 ' Owner-requested euthanasia, condition severe ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Draken is severely underweight at 32.8 lbs with a body condition score of 2/9. He is currently experiencing a URI with nasal discharge and coughing. He is heartworm HIGH POSITIVE and also tested positive for whipworms. He has received deworming medication, Pyrantel and Advantage Multi. Doxycycline was prescribed for his respiratory illness. Draken is bright, alert, responsive and friendly. No lameness was observed, though mild bilateral carpal hyperextension was noted. ⸻ 🐾 BEHAVIOR NOTES: Draken is a sweet, friendly boy who greets people with a very wiggly body, soft open mouth, loose tongue and happy, fast-wagging tail. He walks well on leash, takes treats gently and responds to redirection.
