More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 31, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHD03. ID #A2093883 3-year-old Staffordshire mix Female | Gray/White DOB: 8/31/2023 weight: 50 lbs Intake date: 8/31/26 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Layla tested LOW POSITIVE for heartworms. On 9/5, she developed very soft stool. Her fecal test was negative, and possible causes included GI upset/stress. She was prescribed Panacur SID x5 days and Metronidazole 500 mg BID x5 days. On 9/13, Layla was diagnosed with a URI after developing green nasal discharge, coughing and sneezing. She was started on doxycycline 250 mg. She has also received DA2PP, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, deworming and preventative. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Layla has consistently shown staff a calm, relaxed personality. She greets people with soft eyes and a gently wagging tail, is easy to leash, and repeatedly walks nicely on a loose or semi-loose leash. She has been observed passing other dogs while remaining neutral and paying them little attention. Layla also keeps her kennel clean, quickly potties once taken outside, and happily returns to her kennel for treats.
