He can be nervous and uncomfortable in certain situations, but his behavior is much more positive when he feels safe and understands what is expected of him. Staff have documented that Gunner can walk well on leash and has allowed handling in multiple situations. He has also shown a very affectionate, relaxed side when he feels comfortable ' staying close, enjoying attention, giving kisses and seeking affection. Like so many dogs in a stressful shelter environment, Gunner needs someone willing to give him patience, understanding and time to decompress.
