Rosey is an adoptable female Cattle Dog looking for a home at Riverside County Animal Services-Riverside in Jurupa Valley, California. She is fully grown and medium in size. STAFF OBSERVATIONS 06/29/26 dog was food motivated and put on catch pole. Dog alligator rolled and tried to bite. Dog appeared fearful more than anything and does not like to be touched. 07/08/26 10:51 During kennel walk through observed dog exhibiting fearful/unsocial behaviors in kennel. Dog was tucked into far kennel with avoidant gaze and would not approach despite excessive coaxing. appears to be doing well with multiple other kennel mates. 07/09/26 Dog participated in playgroup today. Dog was observed presenting fearful behaviors with other dogs in playgroup and wary of handler behaviors. Kept to self for duration of time in playgroup. 07/27/26 Dog participated in playgroup style today. 08/07/26 Dog participated in play group style today. 09/04/26 Dog participated in playgroup style today. 09/22/26 Dog appears to be declining in shelter environment. Dog is lunging and kennel door and attempting to bite through door and handler. Appears to be doing well with multiple kennel mates at this time. 09/23/26 11:00 Took dog out for media, dog retreated to back of kennel, tail tucked, avoiding eye contact. Dog avoided contact with handler, did not approach despite coaxing. Dog put mouth on handler's hand, no pressure, stopped when redirected. After some coaxing was minimally able to pet dog on side. Dog retreated when trying to leash, easy to re-kennel.
