Chase is an adoptable male German Shepherd looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. He is a young adult and large in size. RETURNED BACK TO BARC NOW ON THE EUTHANASIA LIST📌 Sweet, high-energy adolescent Chase is in immediate danger and needs to be tagged by 1PM on September 24. Only about 11 months old and weighing 61 pounds, Chase was recently adopted and heartbreakingly returned, not because he did anything wrong, but simply because the household's older dog didn't get along with him. He was a truly good boy in his home, but shelter life is now taking a heavy toll on this young pup, causing him to become highly aroused and bouncy in his kennel. However, staff note that he has a wonderfully wiggly, friendly body and happily redirects for treats once he's out. He just needs a dedicated person to look past his shelter stress and give him the structured, active home he deserves before time runs out. He has walked on a loose leash and can settle quietly in his kennel. He can become excited and jumpy in the shelter, especially when people pass his kennel. He responds to treats and redirection and has shown he can calm down once outside.
