These tiny girls entered the world inside the shelter and are completely dependent on their mama for nursing, warmth and care. ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Maya arrived heavily pregnant at just 1 year old and 65 lbs. She gave birth to three baby girls shortly after arriving at BARC and was removed from the surgery schedule. Maya tested HIGH POSITIVE for heartworms. She received rabies, DA2PP-V and Bordetella vaccines, deworming/Pyrantel and Advantage Multi. Her newborn puppies'Melissa, Morrigan and Morgana'are listed as underage/underweight and Rescue Only. No individual puppy weights or additional medical treatment were documented in the records provided. ⸻ 💔 BEHAVIOR NOTES: Maya has been extremely fearful and stressed at the shelter. Notes describe a tense body, tightly tucked tail and thrashing on leash. On intake, she would not walk and had to be carried to her kennel.
