ID #A2093879 4-year-old German Shepherd Mix | Neutered Male | Tricolor/Brown Weight: 65 lbs Intake: 8/31/26 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Cooper arrived HIGH HEARTWORM POSITIVE. He developed a URI with clear nasal discharge, coughing and sneezing and was treated with doxycycline. He was neutered at BARC and subsequently developed a swollen scrotum/scrotal hematoma and irritation to the neuter incision from licking. The incision has been monitored and was still considered okay on 9/19. 💊 Rimadyl 125 mg once daily x14 days 💊 Gabapentin 300 mg twice daily x14 days 💊 Trazodone 100 mg twice daily x14 days 💊 Cephalexin prescribed for scrotal hematoma 💉 DA2PP-V, Bordetella and rabies given 💊 Dewormed and received flea prevention ⸻ 🐾 BEHAVIOR NOTES: Cooper is a sweet, people-friendly boy who greets staff with a soft wagging tail and happy smile. He leashes well, enjoys getting outside to sniff and explore, and has shown he can settle comfortably in his kennel. He is eager and energetic and would benefit from continued guidance and structure.
