Intake Info: A community member called our dispatch line regarding a loose dog in a trailer park. When our officer located the dog & it appeared shy and skittish. Once the dog was contained it was easy to leash the dog and load onto the truck. Our officer scanned the dog and located a microchip. The dog's name is Lucky, our officer called the owner and left a message to let the owner know the dog was being transported to the shelter. Medical: Lucky is an 11-year-old neutered male dog who is UTD on vaccines & HW negative. The following was noted during Lucky's vet exam bilateral cloudy lens, could not visualize retinas. Sclera bilaterally are inflamed with green mucopurulent discharge medial canthus of both eyes. Ears, both ears have been treated with Osurnia and a greasy residue is visible, bilateral slightly narrowed ear canals oral; not examined, would not allow opening of mouth H/L; no m/a, lungs clear Abd; tense but no abn palpable Integument; overgrown coat, some matting caudal thighs, peri rectal area Request to Rescues: Lucky A2122964 is an 11 year old neutered dog in need of rescue. Lucky will need to follow up with a private vet for further evaluations of chronic eye and ear disease. Lucky could also benefit from being professionally groomed.
