Baxter

Baxter is an adoptable male American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at Dallas Animal Services in Dallas, Texas. He is a young adult and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with just one day left, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Baxter, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Baxter is a laid-back guy who tends to keep to himself and seems most comfortable observing from the sidelines. From our volunteer observations, he appears tolerant of other dogs but hasn't shown much interest in greeting or playing with them yet. He can be timid and nervous in new situations, so he'll need a patient family who understands he may take some time to warm up and feel secure. Contact us about Baxter today! Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.
