Foster is an adoptable male American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is fully grown and large in size. Evaluation Notes: 10/02/2026 - Limited evaluation due to possible medical Dog displayed sociability by coming over for interaction with a loose body and low head. He was able to adjust with a loose body and wagging tail where he is interested in affection and takes treat gently by hand. Vet Exam Notes: 10/02/2026 - Exam request states dog may be deaf, blind and has eye discharge. Dog is BAR and very friendly. Does not responce to loud noises. OU dry mucoid discharge with dry dull corneas. Menace decreased but present and some tracking also present. No cough and no nasal discharge noted. Worn down teeth, generalized alopecia worse on caudal back, overgrown nails. Able to stand and walk well on all 4 legs. Suspect KCS (dry eye), possibly decreased vision due to dull corneas but not blind. Dog is most likely deaf. Suspect flea allergies. R/O mites, fungal, bacterial, endocrine immune mediated other open. Recommend SS, bravecto, start eye ointment to increase tear production (only terramycin available but will require further eye medications with placement. Nail trim needed.
