Ben is an adoptable male American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is a young adult and medium in size. He is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to lack of space, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Ben may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.
Evaluation Notes: 10/02/2026 - Kennel presentation at this time. Dog is laying down in kennel with a loose body and a low tail upon approach. He displays sociability with me as I enter kennel by coming over to greet with a loose body and a wagging tail. He allows brief handling with same body language where he is interested in treats and affection offered to him. He knows \"sit\" and takes treats gently from hand.
