A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' Nuka A5678366 greeted the runner with a neutral demeanor, he was wary of the leash, the runner stepped in to remove him from the kennel, and he slightly pulled on leash. In the catch pen when he was introduced to the dogs his body was neutral, his eyes were alert and his mouth was open with a soft pant. He was easy to collar and leash. He entered the yard and sniffed the dogs. He ran around the yard, his body was relaxed, his mouth was open with a soft pant and his tail was neutral with a soft wag. He play vowed to some of the dogs but they ignored him. He began to play vow to the handlers, he ran loosely around them and ran back to play vow. He solicited affection from the handler. Overall, Nuka was social with the dogs and would benefit best in a push/pull yard. Behaviorally ok for public adoption, large dogs ok.
