A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by a female shepherd and tolerated her sniffing her, but she was timid. She was then approached by a male shepherd and displayed the same tolerant, but timid behavior. She began to calmly roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She began to exchange some soft greetings with the calm dogs. She was approached by a female shepherd that lingered near her face and tried to sniff her chest area. Arleen gave an air snap correction to this. She was not comfortable around the higher energy dogs or dogs lingering near her face. She was approached by a male shepherd and gave him an air snap correction for a prolonged sniffing her from behind. As time passed, she got a lot better and continued to exchange soft greetings with the calm dogs. She would approach the handlers and seek affection. She would do best with a calm dog that will respect her space and boundaries. She will also need socialization to walking on leash.
