Reeses

Reeses is an adoptable female Shepherd looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. She is still very young and medium in size. She is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to lack of space, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Reeses may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.

Evaluation Notes: 10/08/2026 - Continuing to work with dog, behavior remains the same. Dog is laying in bed with a tense body, wide eyes and a tucked tail upon approach. He away from me with same body language as I enter kennel. Upon re-approach on same side of kennel, he is sitting in corner with a trembling body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a tucked tail and fidgets in place as I enter kennel. He is interested in treats offered to him on ground which he eats while maintaining side eye contact with same body language. He retreats away from me with same body language as I sit in kennel where he avoids eye contact. He flinches with a tense and trembling body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a tucked tail as I pet him and retreats away from me with same body language.
