NONE Evaluation Comments (Observations from our staff and volunteers) 10/18/2026 Alarm barked, lunged forward jumping onto kennel door with flagged tail, stiff body on approach, settled as handler baby talked with more softer tail wag and some soft body, no interest in treats offered. Allowed for easy leash placement at front of kennel, exited with strong pull, tail flagged and hackles raised, marked on way to yard. In yard dog would tolerate pets while marking, would explore distant from handler for first half of evaluation, neutral body but stiff flagged tail, hackles raised, kicking up rocks near reactive dogs outside of yard. Chased after tennis ball thrown but lost interest, would eat some treats tossed near but little interest. Would check in with handler allowing petting all over, soft body and tail wagging, jumped up onto bench and soliciting attentions with handler. Came to handler when called over to exit, jumping on play yard exit. Strong pull back to kennel, pulls hard to sniff dogs in passing, resisted approaching kennel, pancaked with stiff body, would come forward hesitantly if handler baby talked but would not enter kennel and begins backing away with strong pull, no interest in treats tossed into kennel or following handler into kennel, able to guide dog into kennel with leash pressure. Able to remove leash by hand as dog was in kennel but dog made subtle/slight airsnap towards leash/handlers hand when leash was exiting kennel. 10/17/2026 Closed outside for AM cleaning. Dog approached handler with soft body and wagging tail, ignored treats. Easy to leash, very strong pull to yard, tense body, hackles raised and stiff wagging tail when walking past kennel dogs, no attempts to interact. Dog explored yard, nose to ground, calm, neutral body, when noticing kenneled dogs on other side of fence dog became tense, hackles raised, tail flagged, able to redirect away with verbal coaxing, dog softened with wagging tail when interacting with handler, leaned into handler's legs and allowed petting all over, still not interested in treats. Interested when handler used squeaker, approached handler and sat when given verbal cue, rewarded dog with pets. Followed handler to gate, able to pick up leash, strong pull back to kennel, difficult return, dog resisted entering kennel, attempted to pull away, handler stepped in kennel and tried using verbal coaxing, dog continued to resist, still not interested in treats, used firm leash pressure to guide dog into kennel, once returned able to exit and remove leash by hand. 10/16/2026 Easy leashing, walking into Triage. Strong pull, pacing in room, heavy panting. Ate treats tossed. Allowed petting all over. Growled with restraint. Able to vaccinate in muzzlewrap.
