Nestle

Nestle is an adoptable female Black Labrador Retriever looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. She is fully grown and medium in size. She is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to lack of space, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Nestle may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.

Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Nestle. I am a female, black Labrador Retriever mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Oct 20, 2026. I am in kennel DC20. Meet Nestle ❤️ ID #A2102921 3 years old | Female Labrador Retriever Mix | Black Weight: 40 lbs Intake Date: 10/20/2026 ⸻ 🩺 Medical Notes: Nestle is heartworm NEGATIVE! She has mild flea allergy dermatitis around her hindquarters, but no treatment was needed per the examining officer. She received routine vaccinations, deworming, and parasite prevention. ⸻ Behavior Notes: Nestle has been very vocal in her kennel and during cleaning, with high-pitched barking, jumping at the kennel door, and trying to get out. Outside, she continues vocalizing and searching for a way to escape. She walks on a tight leash and has shown little interest in treats. The shelter environment appears to be overwhelming for Nestle. She needs someone willing to give her a chance outside the kennel setting, where she may have the opportunity to settle and decompress.
