She was relaxed with soft eyes and seeking affection from the runner as he clasped the collar around her neck. She remained loose as she greeted several dogs through the play yard fence. She was wary entering the yard with a low tail and concerned eyes. She was tense but tolerated a few dogs coming up to greet her. She was wary of nose-to-nose greetings initially and would turn away to avoid them. She walked away and spent a few minutes calmly exploring the yard. As time passed, she began to relax and approach the other dogs, exchanging soft greetings. She solicited affection from the handler numerous times with soft eyes and a neutral tail wag. A few dogs began enticing her for play. She was wary of their energy initially and would run away. After a few minutes she gained confidence and became playful herself. She would try to join in with them and then run away after taking several playful steps after them. Eventually she approached a male husky and play bowed. The two took off chasing around the yard. Nerga was gentle with her play and enjoyed chase play with minimal physical contact. She also engaged in some chase play with a male shepherd for several minutes. She remained social and playful for the rest of her time in the yard. She needs a brief acclimation period with new surroundings and when meeting new dogs. Once she gained confidence, she was playful and social. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, LARGE DOGS OK, MEDIUM ENERGY
