Darla greeted the handler with a relaxed body, soft eyes, a soft tail wag, and a timid demeanor. She was easy to leash and remove from the kennel, walked nicely on leash while bypassing the other kennels, and was easy to collar. In the catch pen, her body was neutral, her eyes were soft, and her tail was low. She entered the yard, and exchanged appropriate greetings with the other dogs. She briefly engaged in gentle play with a few dogs, but appeared to become overwhelmed after a few minutes. She roamed the yard with a timid demeanor. She no longer engaged in play, but maintained a friendly disposition with the other dogs. She solicited petting from the handlers, and spent most of her time near the handlers. Darla is tolerant of the other dogs, has a medium energy level, and prefers a gentle-dainty playstyle.
