A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' Lois A5799958 greeted the handler with a relaxed demeanor, she was easy to remove, and she walked well on leash. In the catch pen when she was introduced to the dogs her body was relaxed, her eyes were soft, her tail wagged neutrally and her mouth was open with a soft pant. She was easy to collar and leash. She entered the yard and exchanged appropriate greetings with the dogs. She ran around excitedly. She attempted to play with all the dogs. She was slightly overwhelming to the nervous, timid dogs who wanted to keep distance from the other dogs. She was pushy and attempted to play with them as well. She solicited affection from the handler. Overall, Lois was social with the dogs and would benefit best in a push/pull yard. Behaviorally ok for public adoption, large dogs ok.
