Intake 10/20/2026 10/20/26 07:28 Gbell #017 two dogs together A5173387 A5173388 Evaluation Comments (Observations from our staff and volunteers) 10/30/2026 Took out for Eval with NHP. Dog greeted handler at kennel gate with wagging tail, easy to leash and remove from kennel. Walked to yard with very minor pull, ignored other dogs while walking past. Once in yard dog greeted handlers and began sniffing and exploring around yard. Knows \"SIT\", played fetch with tennis balls, and allowed retrieval of toys with no issues. Came up to handlers for attention, allowed all pets, and leaned in for more attention. Some reactivity to dogs barking in rearby kennels, but is able to be redirected. Playful, friendly body language throughout interaction. Retreived leash and walked back to kennel, no reaction to other dogs. Went back into kennel easily and removed leash with no issue. 10/27/2026 Updating color due to NHO status. 10/24/2026 Dog was at front of kennel, alert posture and soft face, ears up. Took treats gently. Handler cracked gate, dog pushed snout against it, eager to exit, no issues leashing. Exited quickly, strong pull to door. Once outside, dog was slightly erratic on leash, wagging tail, soft body. Dog would walk, then stop and sit against handler's legs while looking up. Second handler called dog forward, dog bounded to second handler, leaned in for petting. Some more stop and go to lean against handler but able to be directed with leash guidance. Took to main yard without issue, adjusted stopper, dropped leash. Dog explored yard with loose body language, frequently approached handlers, leaned in, allowed all petting. Demonstrated \"sit\" command, took treats gently. Briefly jumped up against handler for attention, could be directed down. Dog was interested in other dogs walking outside of yard; this dog would approach fence with perked ears, forward posture, broke focus when called by handlers. Dog leaned in for more petting. Briefly nibbled on handler's jacket sleeve, stopped on own, did not repeat. Light pull on return, some zig-zag. Entered kennel quickly, leash loosened via clip lead then removed fully by hand. 10/20/2026 Per PHX PD, both dogs were charging and chasing people, bit a homeless person but he left so no info on bite. They jumped up on another citizen and tore her shirt. Upon intake both dogs allowed leashing, walked on leash, sat on command, allowed all handling .
