Walked to small PY with a strong pull on leash, would stop to do intense sniffing. Each time dog would notice a handler from afar, dog would stop walking & flag tail while low growling with a hard stare. Once in small PY, dog would do an intense sniff of ground then start to pace along fence line, keeping tail flagged. Would look up towards handler & start to do a fast tail wag while making a chuffing sound, dog a shake off of body & continue to pace. Dog would keep turning & doing a hard stare towards handler while licking lips with a flagged tail then return to pacing along fence line. Scattered treats onto ground, would not be interested in treats. Handler would gently touch back of body, dog would stop pacing & flag tail while being still bodied looking up towards fence line then return to pacing. Handler did not drop leash while in PY due to dog not settling. Walked back to kennel with a strong pull on leash. Opened building door, dog would pull back hard on leash while doing a low growl. Handler called for assistance to have back half of kennel unlocked & gate wide open. Dog would pull back on leash while walking to back half of kennel once gate was opened. Both handlers would verbally coax dog past threshold while dog would keep stopping & pulling back on leash. Assistant handler opened kennel divider & called dog inside from inside half of kennel, dog would enter. Able to close kennel gate & removed leash with use of pre-attached clip leash. 10/26/2026 Laying at front of kennel with neutral body, stoic, gently accepted treat offered. Head shy with leash placement, retreated to back of kennel but able to coax back forward and place leash as handler knelt down. Exited with some pulling, flagged tail, moments of soft body on walk but became timid and froze in place when bumping into handler before entering yard, hunched over tense body, whale eye, able to coax thru into yard. Tolerant of pets on backside while placing leash stopper, explored around yard with flagged tail, intensely sniffing, some chuffing towards handler, would have some moments of wagging tail and soft body when called over by handler but wary of pets, flinched away from handler when extending hand out to pet head, dog would come forward to sniff treat offered but did not eat. After going potty dog had burst of overarousal/high energy, alarm barking at handler with flagged tail and some stiff body with slight play bow, handler would turn away from dog resulting in dog having zoomies before transitioning to loose tail wag and demand barking as handler picked up rope toy, would direct attention towards rope toy and played with toy until losing interest shortly after, would start to settle and approached handler as handler knelt down accepting pets with neutral soft wagging tail, able to pick up leash while petting. Strong pull back to kennel, flagged tail, resisted entering kennel by pulling hard away from kennel door, no interest in treats tossed in, ran into kennel when divider was opened, able to call dog forward to front of kennel and remove leash by hand. 10/25/2026 Soft bodied, tail wagging, took treats gently while solicitng attentions with handler. Needs full evaluation based on intake memo notes. 10/23/2026 Easy leashing, walking into Triage. Sat for treats. Tolerated restraint for vaccines and allowed all petting.
