Apollo

Apollo is an adoptable male Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at Dallas Animal Services in Dallas, Texas. He is a young adult and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with only 2 days left, listed due to medical. Adopting Apollo, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Apollo is a male dog who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) with an old injury to his left front limb (LF). Due to the nature of the injury, amputation of the affected limb is recommended to improve his comfort and quality of life. This procedure requires specialized surgical care, pain management, and postoperative recovery support beyond what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his condition, Apollo deserves the opportunity to receive appropriate treatment and live a comfortable life. He needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive surgical evaluation, recommended amputation, and appropriate recovery care to restore his comfort and support his long-term well-being. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing Apollo, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov.
