Dolan

Dolan is an adoptable female Poodle looking for a home at Dallas Animal Services in Dallas, Texas. She is senior and small in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with only 2 days left, listed due to medical. Adopting Dolan, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Dolan is a female dog who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) but has severe dental disease and a significant Grade IV/VI heart murmur. Her dental condition may be causing ongoing discomfort and requires prompt veterinary evaluation and treatment. Additionally, her heart murmur raises concerns about potential underlying cardiac disease and increases the risk associated with anesthesia and surgical procedures. Dolan needs further diagnostic evaluation, including cardiac assessment, to determine the safest and most appropriate course of treatment. Despite her medical concerns, Dolan remains resilient and deserves the opportunity to receive the specialized veterinary care she needs. She requires a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive comprehensive medical evaluation, cardiac workup, and appropriate treatment for her severe dental disease. The level of diagnostic, surgical, and ongoing medical care she may require exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing Dolan, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov.
