This sweet mama was found underneath a home where she reportedly gave birth to puppies just a few weeks earlier. The entire family is now at Barc, but Mom has been separated from her 5 week old puppies and is in danger of being added to the euthanasia list soon. Her puppies (all 5 weeks old): Kyle: Male, ID #A2105023 Keith: Male, ID #A2105024 Kieran: Male, ID #A2105025 Kenneth: Male, ID #A2105026 Kendra: Female, ID #A2105027 Kasey: Female, ID #A2105028 Kelsey: Female, ID #A2105029 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES * Heartworm LOW POSITIVE ' needs treatment. * Lactating: Gave birth approximately two weeks before entering BARC. * Healing wounds on both ears. * Bilateral otitis externa (ear infections), with thickened ear canals and discharge. * Prescribed carprofen for 10 days; needs both ears cleaned and Claro treatment applied. * Received routine vaccinations, deworming, and parasite prevention. ⸻ BEHAVIOR NOTES: * 10/28: Reported underneath a home where she had recently given birth. * 10/29: Very timid but sweet during handling. Allowed staff to leash her and complete her examination. Leaned into the employee's legs and gently nudged for affection. * 10/30: Easy to leash and walked calmly on a loose leash. Despite everything she has been through while looking after her large litter, Kylie remains wonderfully friendly and approaches people happily. Even though she is now separated from her puppies, this sweet girl more than deserves a peaceful place of her own to decompress and heal. The shelter environment is far too loud and overwhelming for a devoted mother who has poured so much energy into protecting her family, and she is urgently in need of placement. While Kylie looks forward to her fresh start, her seven adorable puppies are also growing up fast and are ready to find their furever homes.
