Despite not feeling good, he was engaged, tail wagging and was a VERY GOOD boy! 6/12/2026 Closed outside for AM cleaning. Dog was lying at kennel door, calm, stood with soft body and wagging tail when handler spoke to dog, took treats gently. Easy to leash, moderate pull to yard, showed no interest in kenneled dogs. Explored yard, nose to ground, neutral body, approached fence as another dog walked by, tense with high wagging tail, able to redirect verbally, approached handler with soft body and wagging tail, allowed petting all over, sat and gave paw for treats, took gently. Went back to fence again when noticing same dog in neighboring yard, once again stood with tense body and high wagging tail, lost interest quickly and returned back to handler. Pulled stuffed toy out of tote and walked back to handler, dropped toy when offered more treats. Able to pick up leash and walk back to kennel with no issues, easy return, removed leash by hand. *Based on previous notes, adding Only Dog recommendation. Interested parties should be counseled on proper decompression time and slow dog-dog intros. 6/10/2026 Easy leashing, walking into Triage. Tolerated restraint for vaccine and allowed all petting.
