Issac is an adoptable male Black Labrador Retriever looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. He is a young adult and medium in size. Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Issac. I am a male, black and white Labrador Retriever mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 7 months old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 01, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHD07. Weight: 45 lbs Intake Date: 8/1/2026 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Issac is being treated for an upper respiratory infection/CIRD. He initially had green nasal discharge and coughing and completed 15 days of doxycycline, but unfortunately he is still experiencing nasal discharge. As of 8/25, his treatment has been changed to Clavamox 312.5 mg twice daily for 10 days. ❤️ Heartworm negative 💉 Vaccinated and dewormed ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Issac is just a 7-month-old puppy, and his notes describe an adorable youngster with a wiggly body and open-mouth smile who loves to move and explore. He is frequently quiet at the front of his kennel and has repeatedly walked on a loose leash to and from the runs. Like many excited puppies, he can sometimes get jumpy or pull forward on leash, but he has also shown that he can settle nicely. On 8/25, after returning from the run, Issac simply sat calmly at the front of his kennel while other dogs were being walked.
